A Star

I was asked by one of the boys in work if I would make a card for his daughter as she had achieved her place in a famous University and he wanted to say "well done"  I asked if he wanted anything in particular and he said "just say she is a star",  so this is what I did, I cut the stars out on my Cricut and also the red text frame, which is by Gina Jane at DAISIE, the star background is by Pink Petticoat, the digi, which I coloured in PS and added digi papers onto her top and trousers, was a freebie at CDAC by someone who I didn't save the name of - sorry.  He was pleased with it.

Apron and kitchen utensils

My youngest brother is the most amazing cook, we all love visiting as he serves us up wonderful meals and I LURVE my food LOL.

Anyway, I found a template at idealsolutions.blogspot, I downloaded the template the card and utensils, and decided to make an apron for his birthday. I altered the back of the template when cutting out into the apron shape.  I was in a lazy mode and couldn't be bothered to cut out the little beautiful utensils, so went on line and found a picture of other utensils, made it into a file for the Cricut, (I had better add and my Fairycuts programme) and let the machine cut them out, I am thrilled silly with them, if anyone wants a WPC file email me and I'll be happy to send it to you. They are cut out of silver mirror card. The digi papers I used are Limeade by Summertime Designs. I added ribbon I had in my stash.

My card for today

I have used Cooking George Digi stamp from Krewella Creations and used her oval scallop and flower SVG too and made a card for a challenge, that I didn't get to enter.  The digi  papers are by Summertime Designs Comforts of Home.  Hope you like this little bear, I tried to use some stiff brushes in PS to show his fur, but it didn't come out as expected, never mind, maybe next time. He was coloured in PS.   I Stickled the flower edges and the brad centre also the cake icing.  I used a cream hammered card base for a change, can't remember when I used cream last.  The papers were printed on Cuddly Buddly eggshell paper.

Baby card

I have made these 6.6 baby cards to try out a free SVG cut file, I had from Scrapcationgetaway.blog, which I thought was lovely and I am pleased with how the cards came out.  I used digi check paper by Trina Clark which I have had for years and cut the word Love out on my Cricut. I printed the check onto the card with the sentiment then added a bit of Stickles to the word LOVE, got to haven't I LOL

Hen Party bag

I was asked to make a bag for a work colleague, who wanted to give something different to a friend on her Hen Party and as it was to be held in Benidorm it had to be mentioned.

Here is what I came up with, as I had one evening to do it, I hadn't got time to really think a lot out.  The image is by Carolee Jones and I had it at PC crafter quite a few years ago.  I downloaded a Spanish Matador hat and put it on the hen and chick, added balloons and the year, hope it doesn't look too like 2021 instead of 2012.  I then added a saying I came up with, I'm pleased to say it went down well, and quite a few people had a laugh, that's what it's all about in the end isn't it?

1st birthday card

I was asked to make a card for a work colleagues niece, her name is Seren which is Welsh for star.  So I HAD to include stars didn't I? I used Mo Manning's Baby Fairy Flora, such a gorgeous image, I used Gina Jane digi paper for her dress and coloured her in PS. I Stickled her wings and the little roses on her dress, then used Gina Jane digi paper to print the card, matching the colours I made a little sentiment block in the corner.
I then used Fairycuts program, to cut the number one, placing a stars border from Krewella Creations inside the 1, then cut out the star and her name with the same program and my Cricut., I followed a sketch from this weeks DoCrafts challenge placing ribbons.  I love the pink and green combination so Spring like I think.

Baby Bottle

A free SVG file from Krewella Creations, had me make this card.  The front of the card was printed with a freebie overlay that I have downloaded in the last week and now can't find, what am I doing? I have so many files and I have sorted them into makers and types and when I go to find them - nowt! aaaaarrrrgggh!  The inside was a dot paper from Pink Petticoat, but I changed the blue slightly to match the outside paper.

Anyway, I printed the card, then used the SVG file, I used Papermania card to cut the teat and top of bottle, I blatantly copied Krewella's card, using another of her free SVG files of Heart round frame, except I had heart bling to put in the centre of the hearts.  I used Gina Jane at DAISIE Stork, Trina Clark's Rocking Horse and moon baby, Eline Pellinkhof's Baby toy bear and building blocks, the verse I found on one of the free verse sites, but changed American football for "rugby ball" 'cause I am in Wales LOL Hope you like it.  I suppose it should have folded differently, but what the heck!

Couldn't find any challenges to match this, more is the shame.

I've been told by Katina this challenge is still open and I could be elligable, so here goes to

1 Tequila!

Just had to use this image for a friend of mine, such fun! It's a digi stamp from Bugaboo stamps, I thought I would incorporate it into a couple of challenges.  The sentiment comes with the stamp, so didn't have to think of that, whew! I paper pieced the dress from digi paper and now can't find the name, sorry. The border is the same, I know careless!!!!! I mounted it onto yellow card, years old, then used  3D gloss on the glass and her specs, added Stickles to her earrings.  All coloured in PS.  Sounds so simple doesn't it? LOL

Choccies

I am just starting to feel better after a painful bout of D&V, I do NOT do vomit!  I haven't the energy to do housework etc (whoopee) so decided to sit here and see what happens, I was just playing around and looking through my files with no mojo at all, just couldn't be bothered with anything or anyone, a right miserable moo! and found the chocolates by Gina Jane at DAISIE, don't they look real? yummy yummy :) Can you tell I'm a chocoholic?

OK! got my choccies, what to do with them, I didn't think they need a lot, so went looking for quotes, voila! found this from Vintage TLC soooooooo true! I coloured the word chocolate the same as the chocs, then added choccie biscuits again from Gina Jane and a ribbon in the same bundle which had a "jewel" with it, printed the card on Cuddly Buddly Eggshell card, (gives a lovely sheen to the chocolates). Printed it out, 3D glossed the "jewel" and added a brown chiffon bow from Papermania. VERY simple! Hope you like it.  After uploading it, I can see more that I would do, never mind, perhaps next time.
