65th birthday

Can you believe it 2 post within minutes of each other, all or nuffin ay?

The card was done for my baby brother, who has a library of books, he also has a cat, so a perfect match in this great image from Elizabeth Dulemba, HERE  I have used a few of her images this last couple of months, I just love the simplicity and fun of them and they are SO very easy to colour on my 'puter.

The papers I designed myself, you can get them here, Here if you want to download them that is.

I cut the shape from a shape I have saved in my SVG files, but silly me hasn't saved who it's by or from, if you know and tell me I will give credit.  I also faux stitched around the shape with my ballpoint pen.  First time I have done it and I actually  like what I did, may use it again!

Feeling under the weather

Hi everyone, sorry I've been AWOL again, and not a good blogger in commentating either, please accept apologies, but, I have to trim back my time on the 'puter to get some work done.

I have to say thank you for my wonderful faithful followers, who put up with my prattle and sometimes "sick" humour and "YES" my absences.

Well here is a new something for you today, it's a card I was asked to do for one of the girls in my office, whose 2 year old Godson was unwell. She asked for Mickey Mouse, and I was lucky to have Mickey in my files from years ago when I downloaded free files from a Disney site, that had loads of characters to download.  This Mickey suited me well, I thought. I cut out the clouds and layered them, cut the little one's name out on my Cricut, the papers are from Red Ivy Designs at Scraporchard.  I loved the little red hearts on the cloud paper.

There are quite a few people who read my blog are not well at the moment, so I dedicate it to them too, hope it cheers you all up.

Twins card

Hi Everyone, we have had the beautiful day here today, it actually feels like Spring has sprung.

I saw the Eurovision Song Contest last night and have to admit to liking the winner Denmark and also Russia's entry.  Our Bonnie Tyler, I say our Bonnie, as she was born about a mile from here and now lives in beautiful Mumbles on the Gower coast of Wales, didn't  come close to winning, she tried and that is all we can ask.

My card for today is for a colleague in work, whose wife had twin boys last week.  I read somewhere a while ago that twins, when they were adults, were sharing out baby things, and when it came to their cards, had to make choices, as to which they would take, they both wanted one particular card and it caused a problem for them.   So I thought I would do 2 identical cards for these boys, but make them for each individual child.

I followed a sketch by Katie Tate PC #108
I used papers from various designers. The cutie image is from Trina Clark, I followed the colour of the pre coloured image for the rest of the card.  I 3 D'd the image and added a little Glamour Dust. I then made a corner piece and entered their names, making each twin a card with their name central.

Sympathy card

Hi Everyone, seems a lot of us are still in Winter mode, but, today with the rain and wind, there were, in between heavy showers, the most beautiful blue skies and with the fresh green of the budding trees it was just breathtaking, although much better sheltered behind glass.

Anyhow my offering for today is a sympathy card I did recently, not for anyone, but an idea I had, (one of the few LOL) it may be a bit too sad, but I love the chair, I cut out on my Cricut.  Inside I put an empty table and the rest of the verse from Les Misérables.

“There's a grief that can't be spoken.
There's a pain goes on and on.
Empty chairs at empty tables......”

I told you it may be a bit much, but for the right person perfect, I'll keep it back for them.

The chair is from a free digi kit, Silhouette at Numb Bumm, that I transferred to my Cricut to cut out.  The flowers are from various designers that I recoloured in PS.

I will be entering the following challenge.

18th birthday

Hi Everyone, got my winter slippers on while I write this, brrrrrrrrr!  even the May blossom is refusing to come out in these parts.  Oh! well, me old Mum always said "don't cast a clout  'til May is out", which when we were young, meant no vest off until 1st of June, perhaps she was right LOL.

Anyhow, sorry I've been AWOL again, I have been struggling big time with a card I had to do, which will be featured on another post.  When I am at peace with it.

My offering to you today is a card that was requested by my boss for her son.  The criteria was - messy room, music, art and art!   Of course PS had a lot to do with this.
The papers and elements are from "For Caleb" a digi kit from a combination of artists  at Digital Scrapbooking Studio, the drummer is from Vintage Images, the sentiment is from Create at TLC and the font on his name is KR Back to School.  I cut the 18 on my Cricut and Stickled it.  Something quite different I think, for me anyway.  Oh! yes I 3D'd a the arrows and the 18.

Celebration card

Hi Everyone, a quick post today before going to make lunch.  Weather is cloudy but not too cold and at least dry for this Bank Holiday weekend.

My card for today is - well - BRIGHT LOL.  I needed a card for a work colleague who has been off work for a couple of months sick and retires this week.  I didn't want to have a retiring card as he is only mid fifties and as he is known in work as a moaner! I decided to cheer him up!  He had worked in our office even though he was clinical, so I always told him to cheer up and we had a lot of fun banter between us.  We are going to a "do" this week, so got this ready for him.  I know he will love it.  Hope you do too.

The image is Dancing Cactus by Elizabeth Dulemba, the colourful papers are from a digi kit Hot air balloons by Craftastical and perfect I thought for the Mexican theme with their bright colours.  The sentiment is from Create with TLC. "Celebration" because he is retiring!  I coloured the image in PS and placed all the papers then printed all the papers onto the card and printed the image out separately, cut it out then placed it onto 3D stickers to raise it. I had a big pack of buttons from Tesco for just £2.99 and they matched the colours so added them. (I have checked again, they are straight!) Also the obligatory glitter dust for the image.

70th birthday card

Hello everyone, sorry for the delay in getting another posting done.

Beautiful Spring day here in our part of Wales, although we did have rain overnight, plants seem to be trying to make up time and are just shooting up, it seems strange to have early spring flowers with late Spring flowers all out at the same time, wonderful though.

Today I have a card I made for my hubby on his 70th birthday, saucy and a laugh which he loved.

The digi stamp is of course from KennyK which I layered, the main paper is by Marisa Lerin at Pixel Scrapper, the circles are by Lynnie Smith Designs, the lips, I think, came from the web, but could be from one of my files, I'm afraid I copied them while making the card in PS and didn't save the name in the change, sorry.  I added some black buttons.

Here is his birthday cake, made by my Anne, one of my lovely SIL's, as hubby doesn't like your conventional birthday cake she made this, it was so moist and tasty too.   He told her it was awful, so much so, we had to eat it all :)

The card on top of the cake says "Ask me why I like full moons? this is in relation to the fact hubby says myself and son are affected by it!!!!!!!!!!!!  so here is the reason below, a huge full moon last week.
