"Anything Goes"

I have never been into Vintage, but since working with Lunagirl, I LOVE the challenge of seeing what I can do with her images. I particularly like the vintage ladies and that is what I have used here, isn't she beautiful. I also used Lunagirl's  Robin, but, changed the background colour to match the other picture.
I've made a tag, again something quite new to me and just added elements until I thought it enough! (for me).
All designed in Photoshop with added blending options i.e shadows. I also made the background paper, with an overlay which I bevel and embossed and faded.

Book and card

I have just finished reading "The State We're In" by Adele Parks, Thought it a bit odd to start, (maybe because I am in the middle of the Outlander series and this is really different) however I was caught up in it, I sobbed at the end, a real sob too. It left quite a mark on me, I LOVED it, I highly recommend it. IF you like reading about boy meets girl and all that's involved with each of their lives - I won't spoil it by saying any more.

On to my card for today, made for a friend's daughter, who loves Justin Beiber!!!!!!!!! and it had to be purple, I think that is what I have done LOL. Designed in PS and printed and layered onto black card. I used barcode font for the Sweet 16.

Sea photos

Do you remember me saying we went to the sea on Sunday thinking it was high tide to take some photos and the tide was going out? (and my camera port broke!) Well, we did it again today and I got the time right this time LOL. It was cold though, 7C and a wind chill factor which seemed like zero!

I have managed to buy a card reader to upload my photos, a LOT cheaper than getting the camera repaired.  Here are 2 that I took of Aberavon Beach on Sunday.

Can't understand why people would fish in awful weather, I suppose they would also call me mad for taking photos in the same weather LOL.

The sand washed and blown up onto the steps in the recent gales

Here a few more photos taken today, hope you enjoy them. I've tried to put them on here, but it seems I have to pay for that, so here's a link.

Birthday card

Hi Everyone, first of all to you my followers, it has been remiss of me not to have mentioned you all of late,
remiss rɪˈmɪs/ adjective
  1. lacking care or attention to duty; negligent.
"it would be very remiss of me not to pass on that information"
Yep! ALL of those things

I want to thank you for being so faithful to me and all your lovely comments, I REALLY do appreciate ever single one of them. Welcome to my new followers too.

I have a 2 great nephew's birthdays coming up, so as there was a challenge on The Stamping Up Boutique Facebook page, I decided to use one of the cards to enter. Designed in PS. It's a TSUB image with DP's by Digilicious, I added a "chalk" edge to the star paper, to make it look "inked" around the edge. printed and layered the papers on top of black card, added Glamour dust glitter onto the white stripes, and around the image. For the wall he sits on, I've used one of my new Crafters Companion embossing Wall folders on grey card. Cut the sentiment out on my Cricut, added ric rac ribbon to the centre. Oh! yes and 3D'd  him too.

Cute Wedding

Hi Everyone, what a day, wind and heavy rain, we went to the sea, so that I could take photos of the sea at a supposed very high tide, with the wind and rain, I thought I would take a couple of atmospheric Winter photos. As it happened I had my tide times wrong and it was on the way out!

I wasn't going to let that get in the way of taking a couple of photos of a die hard fisherman, sea fishing. I took a couple and got a real soaking, so did my camera! Got home and went to upload them, - nothing! my camera port has died! At least I can still take photos, all I have to do is take the cards I make and upload them at a later date - I hope.

I did go and see if I had any cards I hadn't uploaded and found this.  I had made this as I loved the image and wanted to do something different, then forgot about it. It's designed in Photoshop and then I fussy cut the heart and then added a ribbon bow, the digital papers are by Paper Garden Products and the image is by Precious Moments.

Stitchy Bear

What's in my bag? I am in Wales, I HAVE to have my umbrella with me at all times, so my image of choice is "Rainy Days" by BB Kakes at Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet.
Love this little image, she's having so much fun in the rain. She needed the bright colours behind her, like a rainbow, I thought.

Why don't you have a go at this challenge, maybe "in your bag" you have something you'd like to share?

The card printed and layered with embossed solid layer. I cut an extra layer on my Cricut for the image.

Floral Cards

Hi Everyone, another post and 2 floral cards for you, yep! 2 cards, made with a new kit Sweet Anemone I had from Paper Garden Products, such pretty papers, flowers and I love the colour combination. Anyhow, here is one of the cards I made. I cased This beautiful card, thank you Vicky.

Designed in PS, I fussy cut the flower, stitched the edge and added a sentiment strip, which I part embossed and added sequins. I'm not sure which I like best, but know I shall be using this kit for more projects.

This is the second card. I designed it in PS then printed it and added it to the card blank, fussy cutting around the edges and added a few sequins. Isn't that heart, just beautiful?

Now & Forever verse

My DT post today is for Deedee's Digis who is sponsoring the challenge at  Crafty Gals Corner challenge Theme - Bingo

My choice is the bottom row, Buttons, Brads and Ribbon.

I have used another image from the Now and Forever Kit, this time the Bible Verse, a real wish for a newly married couple. I used DP's from Amore by Shabby Princess a rather old kit (2006), but still lovely. All printed out and layered. I used gold mirror card and embossed it with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. I added the brads to the ribbon and the buttons are from the same digi kit (digi buttons with 3D gloss. LOL), different colours for a wedding card, but we have just had St Valentine's Day, so felt it right in this instance.

Bike ride

Hi Everyone, I was asked to do a 60th birthday card for a man who wears lycra, rides his bike fast and it had to be funny, so here it is! In fact she liked it so much I had to do another one, slightly different, for her husband, I will show you that again.

This is a VERY short post as I am going away for the weekend and I am scheduling this post, and I still have to iron a couple of things that I want to take with me. AND it's 9.30pm Friday already, where does the time go?

I used various DP's by Summer Driggs & ETC Danyale, Overlays by Carin Grobe, sketch by Digisketch, Wheels and 60, I cut out on my Cricut

Anything Goes with a Sketch

sponsored by   Scrappiness Designs

I've decided to go with a scrapbook page today, with elements and paper from the Make Me Smile kit from Scrappiness Designs  it's such a feminine kit, the sketch is by our own DT member  Denise Pustelniak  I added the elements from the kit as per the sketch, added shadows to each and did a little "erasing" to the ribbon so it looked like the twine was around it. The picture in the middle was taken in the garden during a particularly hard frost. The butterfly element on the tag was "played" with until I thought it looked like it was woven into the tag. All done in PS.

Another birthday card

Hi Everyone, just popped in to let you see a birthday card I have done for my nephew in law. He's quite subdued, so of course, I had to be my normal loud self with this, to announce his birthday :) All done in PS. I placed everything and added shadows then printed and cut out an extra layer of Dr Digi's Mr Speaker to 3D him, hope you can see the layer in the second photo. I've also included the inside, the first part about the party was from the web.

I'm going to enter a couple of Anything Goes challenges with this card at

Teddy Inchies

My DT post today for Deedee's Digis uses her Teddy Frame, which is a "Try Before You Buy" I've used this a few times, so handy for different occasions.

The Digi papers are also from Deedee and are from her Spring Chicks kit. I added an embossed piece of card behind the images, added buttons and a little heart. All layered and planned in PS first, printed and layered onto card.  This is for a Deedee's Digis sponsored challenge by Outlawz "Greeting Challenge"

The "Hello, Hello, Hello" reminds me of a TV programme from the 1950's, in my distant past LOL, maybe some of you Brits remember "Dixon of Dock Green". It was about a Police Constable, I suppose one of the first Police programmes on British TV. It was a loved series. In it "Dixon" used to say "Hello Hello Hello", a fact a bit surplus for here really, but that is what I remembered when doing this card.

I went to Google and sought information about the programme and found it ran from 1955 - 1976, it was a gentle look at life back then. Here is a story about the series.

"Colour Challenge"

sponsored by  Sparkle N Sprinkle

these are the colours to use
Taken from Design Seeds
We had a choice of digi stamps from Sparkle N Sprinkle and my choice is the gorgeous Vivian, as soon as I saw her, these colours came alive for her. She is also available as a rubber stamp.
My PS layered
Printed, layered, embossed and clock cut file with added sparkle by Glamour Dust - my Hybrid card.

I did the layout in PS as usual and just made shapes to match this sketch, I then used overlays, which gave me patterned paper, a great way to copy the colours exactly ay? AND have patterned paper.

What do I mean by overlays? On the left is a folder that includes one of the overlays I used, ( the 3rd from the right) it's usually a black pattern that you place over your digi paper, "clip" it to the paper, use "overlay" blending options, it then takes on the colours of the paper in different hues! I know I blind most of you with Photoshop terms, but hope it helps the people who visit and understand what I am doing.

Engagement card

Hi Everyone, I have been pro-craft-inating for over a week on an order for 2 engagement cards, you know when you are full of ideas, but when you put it together it doesn't look right, no matter what you do, well, that's what I have been like. Then this afternoon, I had a follower email from Vero and it clicked! I had been asked for modern and bright colours and here they were.

This is my card, I laid it out in PS and cut the sun ray out of a file by Wendy Bird Designs the heart was layered in PS and cut out by hand.

I added the sun ray template into PS and "clipped" a matching plain colour to it, then "clipped" 2 of the paint splatters to it as well, printed it all out and layered. I added the cut out image here , done on my Cricut.  A few transparent confetti and Voilà  - done in no time at all. phew! I'll show the other one at a later date. They are so completely different, but then so was the brief. The sentiment is as requested.

Forever friends

Hi Everyone a new digi at Deedee's Digis My DT post today shows just one of the images in the kit, I also added one of the sentiments too, so handy not to have to think LOL.

I created a circle cut file, adding PS shapes to copy the tiger stripes, well near enough anyhow LOL.
I added DP papers from SMD at Pixel Scrapper, black card to layer and Dreamcraft 3D pearl effect.
